Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 5, 2026
Hum ("we", "us", "our") operates tryhum.io. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights around it. We keep it plain because you have enough to read.
What we collect
- Account data — your name, work email, and company name when you sign up or apply for beta.
- CRM credentials — your FieldRoutes API key and subdomain, only if you use polling-based automations. Stored encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.
- Slack credentials — a bot token for your Slack workspace, obtained via Slack OAuth. Stored encrypted at rest.
- Usage data — which automations fired, when, and for which entity. Stored in our event log to power your dashboard and for debugging.
- Billing data — handled entirely by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID but never see or store your card details.
What we don't collect
- We don't sell your data to anyone.
- We don't use your data to train AI models.
- We don't track you across other websites.
How we use your data
Only to provide the service: running your automations, posting Slack messages on your behalf, and showing your event history in the dashboard. We may send transactional emails (e.g. billing receipts, onboarding steps). We won't email you marketing without your explicit opt-in.
Third-party services
- Supabase — our database and auth provider. Data is stored in US regions. Privacy policy →
- Stripe — payment processing. Privacy policy →
- Slack — we post messages to your workspace using the bot token you authorize. Privacy policy →
- Vercel — hosting. Standard server logs (IP, user agent) are retained per their policy. Privacy policy →
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we delete your CRM credentials and Slack tokens within 30 days. Event logs are retained for 90 days after cancellation for dispute resolution, then purged.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to delete it, or correct it at any time. Just email us at privacy@tryhum.io and we'll handle it within 14 days.
Changes
If we make material changes we'll email you at least 14 days before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
