Terms of Service
Last updated: April 5, 2026
These terms govern your use of Hum ("the Service"), operated by tryhum.io. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
The Service
Hum connects your FieldRoutes CRM account to Slack, delivering automated notifications when key events occur in your business. The Service includes webhook-based automations (trigger rules) and polling-based automations, depending on your plan.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information when signing up.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
- One account per business. Multi-location plans cover multiple CRM accounts.
- You must be 18 or older and authorized to act on behalf of your business.
Acceptable use
You may not use Hum to:
- Violate any laws or regulations.
- Abuse or circumvent FieldRoutes or Slack's terms of service.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission.
Billing and cancellation
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard — your access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which it terminates. We don't offer partial-month refunds.
Beta testers who lock in a promotional rate keep that rate for as long as they remain continuously subscribed. Cancelling and resubscribing forfeits the promotional rate.
FieldRoutes API usage
Polling-based automations require you to have a FieldRoutes Premium API subscription (billed separately by FieldRoutes, approximately 30% of your monthly FieldRoutes bill). You are responsible for maintaining your own API access. Hum is not affiliated with FieldRoutes.
Uptime and reliability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Automations depend on third-party APIs (FieldRoutes, Slack) that may experience outages outside our control. We are not liable for missed notifications caused by third-party downtime, rate limiting, or misconfigured trigger rules.
Data and credentials
You retain ownership of all data you connect to Hum. By connecting your FieldRoutes account you grant us permission to read the data necessary to run your enabled automations. By connecting Slack you grant us permission to post messages to channels you configure. We do not store or access data beyond what your automations require.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. On termination, we will delete your credentials within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, tryhum.io is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost revenue from missed notifications.
Changes to these terms
We'll notify you by email at least 14 days before any material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
